History and Background of PIP
For enhancing Employability Communication in English is of paramount importance. Students who get good grades in 12th enter into professional courses where the medium of instruction is English. About 75% of the batch has been from vernacular background. Many a time’s students leave study because of language barrier. They are technically sound but fails in presenting in English language. They are into career incubation period where they should be allowed to grow for career without any hindrance and language becomes hindrance as well as creates inferiority complex which is detrimental to their employability index. Hence the development of PIP concept.
English grooming has been taken into a 5 day PEP program but that is with an assumption that all are graduates and are comfortable with the basics of Spoken English.
PIP is for those who have just entered college and are facing language issue. The principal concept of this is training students from the first semester to 3 semester covering 90 hours in staggered manner for basic to corporate comparing it with A1,A2 TO C1,C2 of Cambridge syllabus making them sound in corporate communication.
METHODOLOGY
Most of the students especially of the vernacular studies have learnt English through cramming grammar concept whereas in PIP it is on LSRW fundamentals
The syllabus is framed accordingly with a total of 90 Hours each @ 30 hour per semester/phase.
